Well it looks like you have more than 5000 characters or 400 items on
your input line <g>

In 6.5 (not sure about 7.1), there is a limit on the number of
characters or items you can include in one command line.  So you either
have a REALLY long command or you've got something not balanced so
R:Base thinks your command keeps going.  Check your parentheses, quotes
etc.
