  Thanks a bunch!  I had tried this once and it did not seem to work,
so I assumed I did not understand the LINE END character function.
After getting your message, I thought it worth another try since I thought
that should be the answer as well.  Worked like a charm!  I must have
had a typo or something in my first try.  
 
Again, thanks and it works great.  12,000 rows loaded in less time than
I could look at my watch!
