acted the same. Whenever, one trys to change a text column

whe or WHE it fails with a syntax error or 2367.
These test were done with a new database and new table
which even has only one text column of 8 characters. The
table will take WHEN or WHEE or anything other then the
three character WHE, namely in the change to procedure.
