I agree on fujistu, have used them for years, although some of the HP and Xerox are good. Whichever you choose do NOT get a consumer level machine but a commercial quality unit. Costs a bit more but the paper handling is better and you will get a long life out of it.

Essentially, what I do is create a record for each document set (usually 20 - 30 pages each, but sometimes run into a few hundred pages) in R:Base. This record is used to print a scan cover sheet with autonum document serial number. HP scanner uses this serial number as file name. Once this is done, you can launch document from R:Base application. Very effective and efficient system that much larger companies just dream about. James Kim
