Clayton -

We have all spent countless hours understanding the difference between the
old and the new and trying to determine if things that didn't work like we
expected were our own failings, limitations of our understanding, bugs, or
differences in the new program... and most of us are either grayer or balder
because of it! So your frustration is certainly understandable.

With that said, new features are added at user request and at RBTI's
discretion and perhaps others didn't feel as strongly as you do about the
old errors.dat file so maybe no one ever asked for it before. So, yes, I'd
log onto the RDCC site http://www.rbase.com/rbg7rdcc/ and submit it as an
enhancement request and see what happens.

One thing you can offer when you submit this is to provide a sample database
and file that will encounter the type of errors that you want to eliminate,
or the type of error message you'd like to see. If RBTI decides they want
to implement it, they can contact you for this additional information.

I certainly did not intend the 'attitude' that you sensed. I do appreciate
their response but my point was that this is something that was of great
benefit in the past versions that somehow got lost in the upgrades. I
realize that thanks should have been expressed and apologize for not doing
so the first time around. And again I ask, is this something that should be
considered for the enhancement list to make the product even better?? (or
in this case, as good as it used to be). Fair question??
