Marc,

If you have a copy of R:Docs you can look at the table structure that
Razzak uses for printing the R:Docs manual.

I am currently exploring that option to control some our internal
quality documentation.

Marc -

Of course you CAN do the full R:BASE solution: Create one table for your
help text with a link to a second table where you store your screen shots,
linked to the first table by a PK/FK setup. Then create R:BASE Reports that combine the two. You could either print the report to PDF or just print it
to screen when the user clicks your Help button.

Emmitt

I may give that a try if I can't figure out chm files or
until I figure them out.

But in some cases I do not like Adobe. Trying to cut
and paste something from the latest Adobe is a pain,
much easier in Word and older versions of Adobe.

Thanks Marc

Marc,

What we've done is publish the Word documents to PDFs, stored them on the
same share, and put links in appropriate places to the PDFs.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - How to store text and BMP image in RBase

Hi

Currently I am using Word for my help system for my app.
I have pictures of my forms with text around them explaining my program.

I would like to put this into Rbase but am not sure sure what is the best
way.
I know I can store text in Varchar and BMP in Varbit but I want to store
text and
pictures of the form in 1 column and be able to edit the text when
necessary.

Is there an easy to do this or a better way?

Thanks
Marc
