Are your database files in the same directory as all the Rbase program
files? If they are not then what you are seeing may be similar to a
problem I had with our Rbase 2.11 when we "upgraded" from Win 98 to Win
XP. I solved our problem by copying the MSG and HLP files to the
directory with the database files.

Nope - I connected teh database, typed CD \RBDOS61a, typed FORMS and I'm

kicked out.

Only possible hint is that when I'm in the menu and select VIEWS /
CREATE
MODIFY it says it can't find the help files.

I may try reinstalling from the old Microrim CD I have
