Thanks Stephen, that's what I was doing with my long and convoluted string in my original message which works just fine but the FORMAT is smaller and much more elegant.

One client of mine has a need for bilingual (French & English) reporting and form letters. Since I had to use a text string to compose the French dates (and times) anyway, I just did the same for English using (CTXT(IDAY(Date))) to suppress the leading zero.
