Funny you mentioned that --
I happened to see everything in person at a client site, where
such dilemma with .net was proposed to simply replace a solid
working R:BASE application.
Here's what was wasted after 2+ years ...
01. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in salaries
02. Thousands of dollars in hardware and licenses
03. Nobody knows the internals of anything that was being
developed
I'll let you guess what is currently being used?
