My RBA file sets some settings then
Runs Intro in Prog7.apx.

If I Trace Intro in Prog7.apx it works fine, of course.
If I Trace starting with the code in the RBA file it fails
with no errors. The screen just goes blank and RBase
shuts down.

I just love Vista!
I am sure it is some silly setting that I have not figured out
yet.

Marc

First, ignore that email I sent to you Marc, I kind of figured it out.

I went and deployed a quick Test.rba file I made (It's been a long time
since I have used "Application Builder" and I then compiled and launched it fine with Vista off a mapped network drive (Linux)). I might add it was 7.6 latest ver however, I do not think that it the issue. But then again! 7.6
is nice.

I suppose I need a bit more information. I have a little free time today to
test something quick for you if you want on another Vista Machine if you
like.

Sincerely,
Paul Dewey

Alastair

This is 7.5 and I installed the latest 7.5 update and got past that
error but it still is not working 100%. I have not had a change
to trace my code to see what is going on.

This app is still in 7.5 and I know I need to update it to 7.6.

I should be able to figure it out once I get a chance to sit down
and scratch my head a little more.

Thanks
Marc

Then you'll need someone more "expert" than me to help, I'm afraid, sorry.

But, didn't there used to be a program that did all the associating and
icon setting - whatever happened to that?

Regards,
Alastair.

Just a guess: do you need to associate the RBA file with the R:Base
exec?

Regards,
Alastair.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Vista can't read RBA file

Hi

I bought a new Vista computer and moved my app to the Vista computer.
Now when I try to run the RBA file I get an error. Can not read RBA
file.

This same app and RBA file works fine on XP.

I compiled the RBA files to an Exe file and that works fine on the
Vista
computer.

The main problem is I can not modify the RBA file to make improvements.

Am I missing something simple?

Thanks
Marc
