Thank you Bill and Razzak, for bring me up to date <gig>.
I think I will stop the repair work on my flux-capacitor and read my pdf's! I missed that part and noticed that long name verses short name also changes the output (fixed field so to speak). I was assuming it was only affecting the 8.3 standard. Well back to the books and classes (I hope). Is there still room at the RWeb Class this weekend I hope? Paul, For some reason, if you have not been paying attention when applying the updates or not reading the subject lines of a few threads on this list, you obviously have missed a lot and apparently did not see a well documented change in the latest updates of R:BASE 7.6/Turbo V-8 for Windows. What's new? <g>. In any case, please take a moment to review the following: 01. R:BASE 7.6 for Windows: WhatsNewInRBASE76forWindows_Update5.pdf Typically installed in C:\RBTI\RBG76 folder 02. R:BASE Turbo V-8 for Windows: WhatsNewInRBASETurboV8ForWindows_Update19.pdf Typically installed in C:\RBTI\RBG8 folder 03. Tip of the Day: Using Enhanced DIR Command in R:BASE Posted on Friday, November 28, 2008, 10:50 AM (EST) 04. Having explained that, if you wish to display the traditional output format of the DIR command, you may use the new SET SHORTNAME ON command. The default is set to OFF. Very Best R:egards, Razzak.
