Better still use the following syntax:
SET VAR lastline = ('T1' + (format(.fknt,'[-]000000')) + 
(format(.hknt,'[-]000000')) + (format(.lknt,'[-]000000')) + 
(format(.wknt,'[-]000000')) + (format(.gknt,'[-]000000')) + 
(format(.aknt,'[-]000000')) + (format(.xknt,'[-]000000')) +

(RJS(.filler,642)))


Note!! the  syntax '[-]000000' transfers the "+/-"  place holder to the end of 
the field. Thus when you use the "+" catenation syntax this eleminates the 
trailing space reserved for the "+/-" place holder.  Also this syntax should be 
faster that suggested alternatives.

Format is leaving room at the left end of the numbers for the minus sign. You 
will have to eliminate that. Here are some options:

1) before your WRITE:

SET VAR vLastLine=(srpl(.vLastline,' ',NULL,0))

2) Use LJS() to left-justify each formatted value


('T1' + ljs(format(.fknt,'000000')) + ljs(format(.hknt,'000000')) _ etc.

Any ideas how to get rid of the space or a better way to
accomplish this?   I've used LJS and RJS on the fields which
get rid of the extra spaces, but haven't figured out how to 0-fill using
those methods.

Today,
I had two LAN based tables pop up the error message 'Cannot read table
structure' while running Relational Verification before using Design.
Other LAN tables had no problems with RV or Design. A clone development
database on another drive works just fine. Using 12/29 V8 and did the usual
checks including reload. RV has been ON for several months for no particular
reason. When RV is turned off, the tables popped up immediately and operate /
save like always. My understanding is RV ON checks table structures before
changes and RV OFF checks table structures after saving any changes. Is there a
reason to leave RV ON if OFF seems to work just fine? If these messages are a
sign of something developing, what is a likely solution?  I am putting an
Audit system into the Forms for these tables, but have not changed the tables
themselves in a long time.
