No one would buy it. They said something must be wrong with it for that price. I raised the price 500% and sold it to the next person I talked to. Go figure. Maybe Rbase should offer Rbase Platinum for corporate decision makers that feel they have to spend big. The Platinum edition priced comparably to MS or Oracle could include all Rbases products bundled into one nice big expensive package with a years worth of VIP support for a cost that would catch the attention of corporate buyers who like to spend money. Karen Can you please explain why so many people do not hesitate to spend big bucks for MS and not spend small bucks for RBTI. I have never figured that out. It seems like people/customers/clients/decisionmakers /who ever or someoneelse thinks that MS is a must. And I myself stay on on MS 2000 but I am current on 7.6 Gunnar Ekblad Kontema IT AB Hästholmsvägen 32 131 30 Nacka Sweden -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] För [email protected] Skickat: den 8 januari 2009 16:47 Till: RBASE-L Mailing List Ämne: [RBASE-L] - 7.1 on Server 2008? A client of mine won't budge off 7.1 ("ain't broke, so don't fix it"). Just called me to say they're getting a new server, will be running Microsoft Server 2008. They're all panicked about whether 7.1 will work on the new OS. I told them their product is out of date so RBTI will not certify that. So I'm just wondering if anyone out there is by any chance running this combination and can tell me that it WILL work. Thanks! Karen
