Alastair, We'll continue to improve R:BASE!
For some reason I seem to remember that there used to be a reason for not using the ((IFNULL(DateColumn,.#DATE,DateColumn))) solution but I'll give it a try again now.
Make sure that the column is defined as "Computed". The "Default" setting for column properties is to be used for non-computed values; like Y/N for a Yes/No column. Let us know what you find after implementing the above. Very Best R:egards, Razzak.
