Thanks to all of you who have provided both instructive and destructive
ideas and solutions to this problem.
I am pleased to announce that I have at least gotten a solution that tests
ok by going back to an old database with a WalkMenu form dated 11-24-2008.
This is a copy of 2nd or 3rd generation form on a database copy from file
that had not been updated.
I have it copied over into the 03/15/2009 7.6 and it runs just fine in the
database copy that first demonstrated the problem.
This Walkmenu was created in an older version of 7.6 and experience today
leads me to wonder if there has been a change in newer 7.6 applying to "New
table driven Row Backgound Color". Just a conjecture as I continue and get
this back up and working. No, not a criticism of RBase since this WalkMenu
is one of the neater functions that I have found very usable.
Thanks again to all of you who worked with me on this and Larry, You hit it
on the button.
Now, I don't need to go before all of those school boards and get all of
the names changed.

Actually it does just the opposite, disallowing hiring anyone of color.
That could be a big legal headache!

The obvious workaround is for human resources to terminate everyone whose
last name is a color (or ask them to change their names). <
Another R:Base first! Software that encourages and helps organizations
to become truly color-blind in their hiring practices.
