Bob,

No reason to pursue it if it works for you.
Every organization has its preferences.

Dennis,

Your results listed below is what my understanding of the possible
configurations are.

Please advise if you find any different, but I was unable to construct a
configuration so that

there was one task bar button, the program showing in the application tab and
the program

minimizes to the task bar.

Each user may have a different preference, ours was to minimize to the task
bar, as

minimizing to the desktop kept getting hidden behind other open windows.
Having the

second button on the task bar seemed to confuse the users more, thinking that
two

sessions were open.

I try to keep users out of the task manager when at all possible! So your
configuration

#1 is what I use. It has not been an issue not having the program show as

an application, so I have not really pursued this further.

Thanks,

-Bob

1.
PROPERTY APPLICATION TASKBARBUTTON 'FALSE'
PROPERTY RBASE_FORM TASKBARBUTTON 'TRUE'
Buttons on taskbar: 1
Task Manager: No application
Minimizes to: Taskbar

2.
PROPERTY APPLICATION TASKBARBUTTON 'TRUE'
PROPERTY RBASE_FORM TASKBARBUTTON 'FALSE'
Buttons on taskbar: 1
Task Manager: Application
Minimizes to: Desktop

3.
PROPERTY APPLICATION TASKBARBUTTON 'TRUE'
PROPERTY RBASE_FORM TASKBARBUTTON 'TRUE'
Buttons on taskbar: 2
Task Manager: Application
Minimizes to: Taskbar

The above show my results. None of them produce the normal windows behavior
which is:
Buttons on taskbar: 1
Task Manager: Application
Minimizes to: Taskbar

Number 2 is the best but annoying.

I'm going to play with those, but it worked correctly with them the way they
are, or did it.....LOL!
I'll report what I find.

Dennis: One of your emails mentioned that you reversed two of Razzak's
true/false property values. Maybe put them back to the way he had them and
see if it affects it.

Jan,

That is a good question.

It was minimizing to the taskbar, but now is minimizing to the desktop.

I hope to find out what I changed to affect it this way.
