Cathy,

 

One way is to create a view that includes both tables.  That way you
have access to all the columns in both tables for either sorting or
limiting the information you bring up in the report. The common column
will be the linking column.

Sorry for the simple question.  I've been happy with all my reports,
tables, forms, etc., so it has been many years since I actually designed
one....and have forgotton a whole lot.

 

I have a main table with data entries.  Have second Category table with
3 columns.  One of the Category columns is also included in main data
table, so can easily sort by that.  Now, however, I would like to sort a
report based on a Second Column in Category table without having to add
that column to my main data table.

 

Can't for the life of me remember how to do this - or even if I can.  Is
there some easy way?  I have 7.6.
