Yes, you are right - I had overlooked that rather important point. However this happens with a 'converted' database (which I was using satisfactorily until yesterday) and a new one with just one table. (The only 'change' I have made recently on this PC is to apply the V9 update, however that shouldn't affect V8 - I removed V9 but that didn't solve the problem so V8 may be the next to be uninstalled and reinstalled.) If so you would need to follow the directions that Razzak supplied prior to applying the 0701 and later updates.
