Jan,

Yes, you are right - I had overlooked that rather important point. However
this happens with a 'converted' database (which I was using satisfactorily
until yesterday) and a new one with just one table. (The only 'change' I
have made recently on this PC is to apply the V9 update, however that
shouldn't affect V8 - I removed V9 but that didn't solve the problem so V8
may be the next to be uninstalled and reinstalled.)

Thank you.

John,

Do you mean the sample databases that come when you install Turbo V8?

If so you would need to follow the directions that Razzak supplied prior

to applying the 0701 and later updates.

Dan,

Thanks for your response. This happens with the sample RBTI databases and a
new one with only one table and one form. (I also had unloaded and reloaded
the one I was working on when it first happened.) May be the only option is
to remove V8 completely and reinstall it.

I am using the 803 update and mine works fine.

Maybe check your database for errors??

I have a problem with V8 (21.30803) where if I try to access the add/edit
variables in a database (existing, new with just one table or sample) RBASE
immediately hangs.

I also have 7.6 & 9 on the same machine, both of which are working properly.
I have reapplied the last update, but this did not solve the problem.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
