Thanks for your reply.
I key in a zip code, then look up the city and state in another table, then
update the customer table with those 2 vars, then I want to refresh the form
so that the city and state appear.
Could it be that refresh doesn't work in enter mode?

Hi Bernie,
What are you trying to do with the refresh? If you are using the form in
enter mode the data that you just entered should be on the screen until
you
exit. The refresh will just bring up a blank record in that case.

I used property table customer 'refresh'
Then all the col's disappeared from the form.
There was only 1 row in the table and I am in Enter Using mode, attempting
to add a second row.
I did edit * from customer both before and after the refresh, there was
not
a third row added and the second row was there with the new data.
What could I be doing wrong all of a sudden.
