I make use of DB Grid in a form. In the Column properties you are able to create an expression. In one way or another it is not clear to me what it does and how it works. What I like to achieve is that an employee ID is replaced by the real name of the employee (Employee_name) Is it possible to do this and if so what is the syntax? If you choose the option Expression, you have to fill in the needed table (Employee in my case) Then an expression is asked, but I cannot find an example of this expression and it is not explained how this expression should look like.
