Larry:  That sounds like a great idea!  I will keep the R:PDFMerge in mind!  I 
am also leaning towards keeping individual PDF files so that they can be 
emailed to someone on request.

In the case of that particular project, some of the documents that we were 
merging and sending had hand-written annotations and signatures that were 
critically important (those documents were scanned in and, using a barcode that 
R:Base had printed on the original, automatically named by the scanner in such 
a way that the program could find them).  That precluded us from simply using 
the report generator to create a new PDF with all the documents in it.  In your 
case, it might be easier to do as Sami suggested and just generate a new file 
with whatever statements you need, when you need them.

I still like the idea of keeping a set of "original" PDF files to show the date 
and contents of the original statement.
