I had to remove Vipre from my desktop machine. It worked fine till the 4.0 upgrade, then it made network and internet throughput come to a crawl. It's only affected this single machine though and I gave up on trying to find the conflict.

I have used Vipre Enterprise. They had a promotion a while back that made it very

inexpensive and the regular price is much less than Norton as well. The Enterprise

version allows you to push installations, updates and definitions to workstations from

a server. It has many options for tweaking work station protection. It has used much

less memory and cpu than AVG and Norton did. So far I have been satisfied, especially

for the price.

I just ordered the Premium version, which makes it a true all in one package. Malware ,

antivirus , firewall, etc. The few times I used their support, they were very responsive.

Emmitt Dove first pointed me in thier direction and has used it longer than I.

You might want to check them out.
