Not to mention what would happen to your database if there were a connection

Sorry, Gunnar, don't think you can sell me on the advantages of doing remote 
work on a file-server database (as opposed to client server) with a VPN!   I 
subcontract for one contractor who outright refuses to allow file-server 
database work over a VPN; I'm not saying he's right, I'm just sayin' what he's 
sayin'...   My experience with the VPN that the Wrigley gum people have 
installed is that it makes me long for an external US Robotics modem with the 
pretty blinking lights..
