Bob,
I have a test form in 9.1 latest update that doesn't exhibit this behavior.
For my test, I started the form from the R> with: Edit using FormName MDI

So I could list the tables from the R> while the form was running. No locks.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Variable list view

I have a variable form that includes a variable lookup list view
object. This form is open continuosly by several users.

It appears that the variable lookup list view places a table lock on
it's driving table. Is this expected? When I do a table listing,
there is a "L" next to the table. If I list the table itself, the
row lock indicator does not show any locks, so it seems to be at the
table level.

Just needing to understand the logic of the variable lookup list view
concerning Locks.

Thanks,

Bob Thompson

Gunnar,

If looking for environment variables/system variables settings in
Win7:

Click Start button

Right Click Computer

Click Properties

In Left Pane, Advanced System Settings

On “Advanced” tab, find Environment Variables, bottom right
