By the way you can use R:BASE 9.1 still as DOS software. Only I don't know if there are customers/users still on DOS ? Best regards, Marco Groeneveld ----- Original Message ----- From: E. Bolhuis To: RBASE-L Mailing List Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2011 2:19 PM Subject: [RBASE-L] - Hello Hello Rbase'rs AsI have just joined the mailing list, I would like to give you a bit of background information about me. I am a Dutchman, living in the UK with my wife and two children. My link with RBase goes back some thirty years, starting with RBase 2.11 (if I remember correctcly!) in the early eighties. At the time I used it for my work. I kept using it until version 4.5++ when, due to a change in circumstances/priorities I stopped using it. Only recently, after more than 20 years of rbase inactivity, I have started using it again! As you can imagine, the first time I started Rbase 9.1, I felt totally lost. Not surprising in view of the difference between Dos version 4.5++ and Windows version 9.1! Luckily, I am getting more and more familar with it, but there is still much catching-up to do. and I may have some questions from time to time. To start with. 1) Are there any really good reference books out there? I could not find anything worth while in the UK. Any advice? I would appreciate your input. Best regards, Boudewijn
