Razzak,
Thanks for your reply. The ‘issue’ is whether or not you should have to double click or single click an object in a region before it becomes moveable. I realise that you can move everything by selecting the region, but I find that when I am working on objects within a region it is very easy to select the region (or an object) in ‘move mode’ (that is just my description) and it moves when you don’t want it to. The ‘problem’ seems to be that when you are working in a region the single click doesn’t put you in the mode with the blue grips showing on the object selected – it just goes into the ‘outline highlighted in solid gray mode’ that allows the object to move with the mouse – more often than not when you don’t want it to, at least in my case. To get it into the selected mode, where it doesn’t move without the mouse button being depressed, you need to double click the object. In my experience (of moving things that I don’t want to move) it would be good to be able to change the behaviour so that one click in a region was the same as one click in a part of the report without a region. (I tried an object in a panel on a form – one click goes straight to the blue grips state.) I hope that explains it a bit better. Maybe it is this way for a reason, but it is not something I have noticed until recently. Thank you. Regards, John Docherty From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of A. John, TTBOMK, nothing has changed in relation to report region or any object(s) within the region. Technically, the report region is like a container/panel in a form designer. If I understand your example correctly ... You don't need to select the object(s) within the region as well as the region to move things around. If you need to move the object within a region, just select the object itself. If you need to move the region and any object within the region, just select the region and everything within the region will tag along with it, automatically. Hope that helps! Very Best R:egards, Razzak.
