Another thing that could cause that is one or more lookups in the variables for
the scrolling region that are not taking advantage of indexes.

Yes. Makes no difference.

Does the linking column in the second table have an index?

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Slow Scrolling Region

I have several applications uisng the latest version of 9.1-64. In 2 of my
applications I have a 2 table form.
The first table contains text data and the 2nd table has a scrolling region
containing a linking id, a few text fields and a variable image. The scrolling
region is 1 tier high and 5 columns across.

When I click on a row in the region, the refresh rate is very slow (from 1 to 3
seconds) before the frame gets focus.

Has anyone noticed this ? Does anyone have a suggestion to speed things up. My
computers have at least dual core processors and 2 gb RAM.

Thanks,

Bill Eyring
