Thanks again for all your help.

I will be looking at the variables to make sure I use the periods at the
beginning.

As it turns out, the data was wrong on one order therefore confusing the
cursor While loop.

We found the problem this morning. All is well.

It is a blessing in disguise because I learned the file was taking way
too long to process.

I made needed changes and it is much faster now.

Some of these forms were created when I was just learning the importance
of proper syntax.

Problems like this will I am sure prop up as things "tighten up" with
the SQL rules.

Another observation is that all the variables should be defined and
value type set

before the defining of the cursors.

In the older versions of R:BASE you could get away with letting the
cursor define

your variables but it is less forgiving now.

The first thing that stands out is you missing a period on the
right hand
        side of the if statement

        IF vCNumber2 <> vCNumber1 THEN

        Should be

        IF vCNumber2 <> .vCNumber1 THEN

I appreciate all the comments on this problem.
As best I can tell it is a data corruption problem.
I have pasted the code I use below so if anyone has a suggestion
on
making the code better, I am open to that.
