Jim, We are all still learning. Visiting old code is always a revelation! The older the code the bigger the YUK factor.

I will be looking at the variables to make sure I use the periods at the beginning. As it turns out, the data was wrong on one order therefore confusing the cursor While loop. We found the problem this morning. All is well. It is a blessing in disguise because I learned the file was taking way too long to process. I made needed changes and it is much faster now. Some of these forms were created when I was just learning the importance of proper syntax. Problems like this will I am sure prop up as things "tighten up" with the SQL rules. In the older versions of R:BASE you could get away with letting the cursor define your variables but it is less forgiving now. -----Original Message----- From: "Dan Goldberg" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] (RBASE-L Mailing List) Date: Thu, 21 Jun 2012 06:17:57 -0700 Subject: [RBASE-L] - Re: labels not showing The first thing that stands out is you missing a period on the right hand side of the if statement IF vCNumber2 <> vCNumber1 THEN Should be IF vCNumber2 <> .vCNumber1 THEN Dan -----Original Message----- From: Jim Belisle Sent: Thursday, June 21, 2012 4:23 AM To: RBASE-L Mailing List Subject: [RBASE-L] - Re: labels not showing I appreciate all the comments on this problem.
