Why now? This has been the standard behavior since RBase came over on the
Mayflower...

To be honest, I wouldn't waste a pennys worth of development time on this in
order to spend it on something really meaningful.

It wouldn't take you two minutes to put a design-time EEP on the form with a
"PAUSE for 3" msg as a reminder for the session if it is really that
important.

I guess you can tell if I were the pres I would Veto this.. ;-)

:I guess it would be sweet if you try to edit a table in design mode, you
would get a dialog that tells you that data in design mode is read only.

:
: Dennis,
:
: You’re not the only one who forgets things!
:
: My solution for things like would be to have an “On Design” EEP that that
made visible a label telling me that I can’t edit the data...
:
: However, I guess putting that EEP onto each form could be a pain so maybe
you could ask for a “use global on design EEP” option?
:
: Regards,
: Alastair.

: Found the problem!
: Data is not editable running the form in design mode.
: Somehow this fact doesn't stick in my head, no matter how many times I
trip over it.

: It seems like the "Row Select" option is checked.
:
: Double-check the following:
:
: DB Grid Properties | Properties | DB Grid Options ...
:
: Make sure that the check box for [ ] Editing is checked.
:
: Hope that provides you with some blue's clues ...
:
: Very Best R:egards,
