To remove a vertical scroll bar, uncheck the "Show Scroll Bar" attribute in the scrolling region properties.
The behaviour of the scroll bar is "correct". That is how they are supposed to function in R:Base 9.1. I don't know about 9.5. It would be a nice enhancement to have advanced scroll bars that function as they do in other programs such as MS-Word: the position of the slider tells you where you are in the file, the height of the slider tells you how much of the file you are looking at and you can move the slider to any position to access other parts of the file. OK I fixed it. to get rid of that slider that seems to a permanent part of the grid, I just made the grid wider than the surrounding panel on the form. It's still there, but I can't see it. And to get full scrolling in the lower grid, I just had to shrink the grid until it's smaller than it's panel, and scrolling happens. I didn't have a slider there because it was hidden under the Rt panel as above. So my only remaining issue is, can that vertical slider be fixed so it behaves properly, or not? It would be a handy thing to have if it worked. On Thu, Sep 13, 2012 at 1:39 PM, William Stacy <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: The plot thickens. The difference between the top and bottom grids is that the upper is a scrolling one, allowing me to "see" all the rows in the master table, and the lower one appears not to have any scrolling capabilities (which would explain slider differences. So now my question becomes, can I make both grids scrolling in such a form, which I cannot do without, and can I eliminate that slider or fix it, which I can do without. They are both "enhanced grids" in a form that has two tables, the upper grid is the master and the lower is the slave. Right now it has only 3 positions, top, center and bottom, and it assumes the top position only when I'm on the first row of data, the bottom position only when I'm at the last row, and all other times it's in the middle position. Can that be fixed, or if not easily so, can I hide it? -- William Stacy, O.D. Please visit my website by clicking on : http://www.folsomeye.net -- William Stacy, O.D.
