What you can setup the gateway import and save the specification file.

Then on the gateway import command you can specify the specification file
name using OPTION SPECIFICATION_FILE_NAME

Subject: [RBASE-L] - GATEWAY IMPORT CSV with a LF only file

Does anyone know if there is a way to attach parameters to the gateway
import command that would allow a file to be imported that only has a
linefeed character at the end of every line? I couldn't figure out why a new
gateway import function I am trying to put into place wouldn't work and just
crashed every time I tried. I finally found that the problem was that the
source files am trying to load probably originated in a Unix system, and as
a result, those files only have a linefeed character present at the end of
every line; opposed to the more common Windows format using both a carriage
return and linefeed.

I'll live. I've made worse mistakes on the list.
