Thanks Dan, I'll do that. If anyone else know another means to accomplish the 
same task. The ability to do something like OPTION RECORD_SEPARATOR 0A would be 
nice. Using a specification file means more files, and more files means more 
clutter.

Does anyone know if there is a way to attach parameters to the gateway import 
command that would allow a file to be imported that only has a linefeed 
character at the end of every line? I couldn't figure out why a new gateway 
import function I am trying to put into place wouldn't work and just crashed 
every time I tried.  I finally found that the problem was that the source files 
 am trying to load probably originated in a Unix system, and as a result, those 
files only have a linefeed character present at the end of every line; opposed 
to the more common Windows format using both a carriage return and linefeed.
