Regards Clive Williams From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Karen Tellef Sent: Wednesday, 20 March 2013 05:33 To: RBASE-L Mailing List Subject: [RBASE-L] - Parenthesis in a form? 9.5 I have no idea where to look for this. A client sent me 2 print-screens to prove it. This is a form, a currency column DBEdit is located on the form. There is a form variable that adds up a bunch of things, including this currency column. They sent print-screens where they typed in a negative number, such as -50. When they leave the field, the hyphen turns into parenthesis ($50.00) and it will not add it into the total. Of course I dial in and it works fine. I type in -50 and it stays -$50.00 and the form variable includes it in the total. I've never seen a hyphen turn into parenthesis on a form. Is there a setting I'm missing that I need to set going into this form? My currency settings usually is SET CURRENCY $ PREF 2 B I don't think that affects a parenthesis or hyphen. Karen
