One of our reports has photos in a DBImage. Looks great in color and in
first copy. Trouble is once the paper version gets copied on a very good
network copier it usually comes out in the usual shades of
black/gray/white. Text portions of the reports copy beautifully. I have
little control with what happens to the document once it leaves us. In
the eventual copy of a copy, the photo becomes virtually black. Is there
some way I can control the brightness of the picture through RBase? I
tried black/white photos but no real difference. This could effect
hundreds of photos.
Tom,
The brightness for images can be adjusted within the R:BASE BLOB Editor.
When editing the table where the image is stored, open the image in the
BLOB Editor, using a double click, and select "Tools" > "Color Adjust"
from the Menu Bar.
When adjusting the color for an image, an original and resulting image is
displayed to preview any changes before they are saved. To remove the
automatic preview, remove the check in the "Lock preview" check box across
the bottom of the window.
On the "Contrast" tab, use the "Brightness" slider control to increase or
decrease the image brightness.
For more information on using the BLOB Editor and working with BLOBs,
please refer to the "Managing Binary Large Objects in R:BASE eXtreme 9.5"
technical document.
