Tom, If I understand you correctly, the report will print fine but when you copy the original on a copier, the photos (in the copied document) look dark.
I have had the same problem copying originals and the photos not copying correctly; this is why in the past I have always printed enough originals so we don't have to copy it. Most newer network copier/printers have setting that you can tweak to get better colors. You can try the photo mode that will get you better colors but sometimes the black text does not look as sharp and it is considerably slower than conventional color printing. Also, it depend on what printer you printed the original report; some printers print color with a shiny/glossy texture that reflects the light when you try to copy them and result in dark prints. Nowadays, we no longer provide printed final or any other reports to our clients unless they specifically ask for it; we simply create a PDF file of the report and give it to them and they can print as many copies as they want, and any way they prefer. We have not had a single complaint. In the past, we invariably got request to send additional copies, which we had to print and deliver/mail to them. Now we no longer have that problem and users actually seldom print the report, they simply read it on the screen and they can also cut and paste or print specific portions of the reports as needed, a very desirable feature. All in all a win-win situation. I am not saying that this would work for you, but it is something to consider. One of our reports has photos in a DBImage. Looks great in color and in first copy. Trouble is once the paper version gets copied on a very good network copier it usually comes out in the usual shades of black/gray/white. Text portions of the reports copy beautifully. I have little control with what happens to the document once it leaves us. In the eventual copy of a copy, the photo becomes virtually black. Is there some way I can control the brightness of the picture through RBase? I tried black/white photos but no real difference. This could effect hundreds of photos.
