And you have RBASE installed only on the SERVER with the database and all clients share the same RBASE executable or you have a license of RBASE installed in any workstation and share only the database on the server? It is much faster. Of course, lots of things make a difference in performance like gigabit network, anti-virus exceptions, server build, etc. On the newer windows 7 pcs with i5 processors there used to be a delay when connecting to the database. Not no more. When the second user connects my aplication, to first and second users becomes very, very slow. I read some topics about oportunisc locking, and my question is: can be that feature of Windows Server and client the reason of the slow behavior?
