Hi All - I tried to do a RB 9.5_32 server (Winserver 2008) installation to a
mapped network drive from a Win XP workstation via Ultra VNC remote-support
but only 9 files copied.

I was logged in as "user" with administrator rights. (Security issues, I
know, but right now just want to get RB installed).

I created the desktop shortcut using "Send To" desktop as shortcut and added
the "-a" after the exe.

Error message is "Cannot load RBEngine95_32.dll" - because it isn't in the
installation directory.

Any clues for the blues? i.e. Why didn't all the files get installed?

Doug,

When provided with the options of the "Components" dialog of the installation
process, did you select the "Server Installation"?

When choosing the Server Installation, all files are installed into the
selected Destination Folder. The Server Installation is the typical
installation choice for network administrators and developers that want
R:BASE installed upon a centralized location within a local area network.

It is beneficial to use this method when there are a great number of users
which will be launching the R:BASE software. Another benefit is that when
applying R:BASE updates, there is only one installation to be updated, other
than updating every workstation individually.

More detailed instructions are available within the R:BASE eXtreme Getting
Started Guide. Using the following link, you can open the PDF file in your
Internet browser, or download the file to your computer:

In your specific situation, specifically refer to the "Server Installation"
chapter, starting with Page 10, Section 2.5.

Hope that provides you with some blue's clues ...

Have fun!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
