Terri, In addition to having the benefit of keeping yourself up-to-date with all product enhancements and bug-fixes, an active R:BASE Software Assurance Plan (R:SAP) also allows you to move your license from one computer to another when upgrading you hardware. Ignoring the primary responsibility to lapse such an important aspect, just like not having the insurance for your home or vehicle, may result in having the inconvenience of using the software in evaluation mode with no active license key when installing the product on another computer. If the R:BASE product is important and a valuable tool to your organization, you will have to make sure that you keep it up-to-date as anything else in life. Having to use the software in a business environment for over three years (since 2011), and not being able to afford $145.00 is something I cannot explain nor give you any advise. It's all up to you. That specific message is the result of using the "Evaluation Version" of R:BASE eXtreme 9.5 (32). However, if you have purchased the actual License with Product Key, you will need to register and "Activate" the product online to enable all disabled features when evaluating R:BASE.
