I will like to check with the group to see if anyone has run into the situation
where in REPORTS you are not allowed to change the report's pass setting from
the default "two pass" to "on pass". I am running 9.5 32 update 4 in Win7 platform. I suspect it has to do with a sub report but I would appreciate it if you can help
confirming it. Any comments and suggestions are most welcome and appreciated.

Manuel,

By design, when a Sub-Report Control is placed on a report band, the Pass Setting for the report is automatically forced to "Two Pass" due to anticipated recurrent
and subsequent data to be calculated in Sub-Report(s).

That is the correct behavior.

Technically, "Pass Setting" property in the R:BASE Report Designer determines how
many times a report traverses the data before generating pages.

In addition, if you are using the "Page Set with Description" setting for page
numbers, such as, "Page xxx of xxx", Two Pass setting is recommended.

Last but not least, "Two Pass" setting is also important when using the "Look Ahead"
option for any "DB Calc" controls in Report Designer.

Hope that helps!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
