Be careful what items you are lassoing. If you click on regions or other
specific areas sometimes you will include the actual region or area. If your
lassoing touches a region boundary, the region boundaries will be included
whatever you align. Simply put the cursor on an item, then SHIFT-Click to turn
on/off the red squares for whatever item you are working on. I'll often use
SHIFT-Click to line up unrelated items in a horizontal line or long groups of
check boxes in a vertical column. It just takes practice. Use the Align/Space
toolbar. It works great across any number of regions.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Reports - column alignment across bands

This is probably a basic question, clearly explained in the documentation, and
I apologize for asking, because R:Base is truly the greatest tool and I have
let it sit in my toolbox, but is there a simple way to align the caption,
detail and summation in a report? Right align is what I'm looking for,
possibly on decimal also, but for the whole "column" across report bands. I
lassoed the parts and selected alignment icons, but it moves the selection all
the way over to the right side of the report while I need it to stay where it
is, but cause all the parts to align.

I am also wondering if there is an 'undo' option (besides exiting without
saving) for when I change something and I need to put it back, Ctrl-Z would be
nice. It probably exists, right in front of me, but I don't know where.

Thanks you for your time.

Hans
