Tom,

I have the same list but the problem is that you usually don’t know who is the
provider for the cell number. This is why I thought that one workaround would
be to use all the providers as destination in the BCC: field and then the
correct one would go through and the others would bounce harmlessly.

There are services out there you can pay to do the same thing, but I'm cheap,
so I do my own.
Javier in your case it would be 'yourphonenumber'@tmomail.net. Like I said
previously I have been doing this for well over a year.
This is a list I have compiled so far
US Cellular @email.uscc.net
 Verizon @vtext.com
 Virgin @vmobl.com
 AT&T @txt.att.net
 Nextel @messaging.nextel.com
 Sprint @messaging.sprintpcs.com
 T-Mobile @tmomail.net
 Cricket @sms.mycricket.com

Simply set the email to: phonenumber@cellphone

I looked at this approach a couple of years ago and was unable to find a way to
reliably find the cell provider. At one time, you could identify provider by
the first 3 numbers of the phone which were assigned to specific providers such
915 (my own number)which was assigned to Nextel; however, with companies going
out of business and user switching providers and taking their number with them
such as me, where the 915 is now T-Mobile, it is impossible to tell who is the
provider, sort of finding a way to access a directory that list the provide for
a particular number, which is what teleflip.com did.
One workaround would be place the umber on the “to: “ filed and then the number
with all the other different sms under “bcc:” and hope that one reaches the
desired number and the rest just bounce harmlessly…I think.

I actually have been doing this for quite some time. Each cell phone provider
has an sms, verizon is
@vtext.com. I created a table for each provider and when my customers enter
their phone number I also have them select their provider. You now have an
email address to send a message like
'[email protected]'. If you emailed thru reports just put in the email. I
will look at my code and post if needed

I am exploring sending sms messages from RBase to cell phones.

I was wondering if anybody had any experience that they can share.
