Albert. I agree, I can not tell you the hours I spent in my years of programming because a variable is spelled wrong or not matching up. What I am suggesting is a function like rtrs - Retain Trailing Space (variable) that allows you to keep the trailing space in this instance of using the function. Not globally.

It was a real pain working in the Forms area when a variable did not work because of the automatically added trailing space. In my case, I use stored procedures for anything that is used in more than one area of the system, and the trailing space was a hassle. Others had the same problem. I think we are into one of those situations where a solution for one area fouls up another.
