I would check the power settings. Make sure that all the network card power
management savings is turned off(nic properties) and sleep is disabled. It is a
live connection to the database and if it is broken, you will see unexpected
results.

When I setup pcs I turn those off and also set windows performance options to
best performance.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Windows 7 Issues

A client is migrating from Windows XP workstation to Windows 7 and running into
several issues. The main problem is when they start the compiled application
after a while the application screen (and icon on bottom bar) begin to flash
and the application becomes unresponsive and when the Windows Task Manger is
opened, the application does not show under "Applications"
and shows only under "processes." This has been happening all along on 2
workstation using Windows 7; however, since they were not used much it was not
a big issue; now that all of the workstations are being "updated" to windows 7,
it has become a serious issue. The workstation running Windows XP do not have
this issue.

Has anyone experience this issue? If you have, did you figure out what was the
problem?

The second problem is that "paste" will not work under R:base when using right
click on the mouse. When you highlight text and right click, the "Copy" option
is available but once you copy the text and you place the cursor at different
location (say, a different field) and right click to paste, the paste option is
dimmed and not available and only the the3 bottom option (Right to left reading
orders, Show Unicode control characters and Insert Unicode Character)
show...however, Control-V works fine. I imagine it is a setting somewhere?
Copy/Paste seem to work correctly in every other application and the issue is
restricted to R:Base. Any idea on why this is happening?

Any help or suggestions you have will be greatly appreciated.
