Could anyone give me specific recommendations for Windows 2008 R2 servers hosting R:BASE 9.5 32 bit. Also what are anyone's ideas on Optimistic vs Pessimistic file locking at the server level. Want some ideas Here is why: We have a group of R:BASE users (about 5) that experience a 5-10 second delay on lookups/searches of the database that happen at random times of the day. We've did fix indexes etc., and had limited improvement, but still have some slow times.
