No more set var vnumber = (int(.vdialogtext))?
Cool. Hopefully, I will get some funds and time to upgrade soon… Dan Goldberg From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Karen Tellef Sent: Monday, January 25, 2016 1:56 PM To: Dan Goldberg Subject: [RBASE-L] - New Dialog in RBase X Just want to make sure this doesn't escape everyone's notice. I just had occasion to use this nifty new feature today! Did you know that in RBase X you can now have a "DIALOG" command that accepts a variable other than text? No more need to have a text variable in your Dialog and then do a conversion to get the integer/date/whatever you really need! What happens if you type in an invalid value? If you had your error messages on, you would see the standard "variable not the same type" error message and it would exit the Dialog. If your messages are off, the dialog would just disappear and your variable would be null. So after the dialog, just test if the value is null to see if they typed in something incorrect. Karen
