Has anybody got some good advice for me on this:
R:Base database heavily used for about 3 years. Try to unload an reload.
Error messages on autonumbering.
1. There are autonumbering setting on columns that were not there when the
database was developed.
2. Error message " -Error- - is an invalid format character. (2522)
3. Next value for an autonumber column is wrong
When I look in SYS_DEFAULT table I find the trouble-making COLUMN_ID three
times with different SYS_NEXT values.
Question1: Can I delete two of the three entries without causing further
trouble?
Question2: How can autonumbering spontaneously grow on a column that did not
have it when designed. I'm pretty sure the users have not messed around in
the database, because they use VB + Ottero and don't have R:Base on their
machines.
