G'day Allan,

I frequently wish to display a list of values such as you describe.
The CHOOSE option has limited functionality but:
a) it is a good solution until you run out of memory and
b) if you wish to do a complex search, display matching records then
     from the form you are describing go to some of them then back to
     the list form then a CHOOSE is cumbersome.

The solution I have adopted is to:
1. On the form, set a variable = one of the fields,
2. Position the var where you currently have the field,
3. Make the variable editable,
4. Make the variable the first field in sequence.

You have you cake and can eat it too!
