Razzak Posted this a while back:
Using The Glorious R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5 and higher) for Windows:
Include following statement in RBASE.INI under [PlugIn] section.
FDRAWDLL1=rblob.dll
RDRAWDLL1=rblob.dll
Steps:
Start R:Base and place a column or variable on a form or report.
Select CUSTOM on the properties, and then select Blob Draw from
the drop down list. Your column or variable must have a text
value in the form FileName, DrawMode where FileName is a BMP or
JPG file on disk and DrawMode is one of dmScale, dmStretch,
dmGrow, or dmClip. For instance:
Forest.BMP, dmGrow
would cause the forest.bmp file to be displayed, and it would
grow as large as it needed to be to display the entire picture.
Forest.BMP, dmStretch
would cause forest.dmp to be drawn, stretched to fit exactly in
the borders of the object as you placed it on the form or report.
Enjoy and make sure to have fun!
Very Best Regards,
Razzak
The other things I would add is I have only found that this works for
images in the same directory as the database -- or possibly the RBase
exe or the Dll for this - not sure which holds true since all are in the
same in my setup..
When setting up the bar set it up like so:
vimage = 'help1.bmp, dmStretch'
Stretch has the best effect for most situations... replacing help1.bmp
with your bitmap name -- no path.
Make sure the Datatype for the variable stays Text -- it should auto set
to this when it sees the single quotes around the info on the right side
of the equal sign as long as single quotes are what you are using,
otherwise use your quotes setting..
Hope this helps
