Razzak,
> Have you contacted the dedicated folks at
RBTI?
Yes - but only by reporting it under the developers corner. > Have you send any e-mail(s) to RBTI Support
Staff?
I refuse to pay to talk/email rbti to report a
bug. I can understand the policy of charging for investigating these
things immediately under a support plan since from my experience most are caused
by incorrect configurations or programming...but by the same token I don't see
my money getting refunded if it confirmed as being a bug. If I am mistaken
please correct me and perhaps make a note of that under your support
plans.
> In reference to CURRENT PRODUCT(s), have you
discussed your issue or posted your code on this official list server?
on 5/8/2001 I posted "Forms - Adding Multiple Rows
to 2nd Table" to this list server. Not 1 reply, which meant to me either
1) I was going crazy because no one else has ever had this problem or 2) no one
uses this feature. I'm betting on #2, but I've lost bets
before.
In response to points made in your email - "Bug Listing - RBTI's Policies and
Procedures":
>Now that we
have discussed the PROPER procedure
>to inform
us of possible issues
Well that can only be directed at me since I am the
only one who mentioned the word "bug" when discussing a feature. Since you
feel the need to SHOUT at a customer for asking for help from other
developers I feel the need to tell you YOU WON'T GET ANY REPEAT BUSINESS THAT
WAY.
> To respect

PRIVATELY before we go

code, improper database design, or

methods of doing things.
I'm not asking for everyone's private bug reports -
only a listing of confirmed bugs for the current version. That is in no
way too much to ask, and as you are seeing, is expected from a
developer. Private bug reports could be invaluable to developers
dealing with bugs that haven't been made public yet - make the postings
anonymous if you are worried about others dignity and
intelligence.

Craig Keenan
